Natya kalaratna Dr. Usha is one of the most inspired and talented exponents of Bharatanatyam. She is the granddaughter of the famous dancer late Thiru. Sundaram ( Disciple of late Thiru. Mangudi Durairajulu Iyer ).  She is the founder of "Nirtya Darshan Academy of Dance & Santhoshika Academy of Fine Arts".

She has given major performances and has won accolades all over India. She had directed and produced several mythological and contemporary dance dramas and she is the recipient of many coveted awards. Her passion for music led her to explore more about our very own traditional art the mission was to spread the joy across as much as possible.

Dr. Usha started the passion of teaching in 2000 with 3 of her students within a year her quality teaching bought more and more students Since her passion and dream are bigger, In 2004 she lit a lamp to symbolism the beauty of art especially for dance & music that enlightenment triggered her in starting an institution for dance and music as a result that she founded Nrithadharshan Academy in Annanager - Chennai. Since her aim is to spread the joy of learning and teach our own traditional dance and music which helps students to rediscover the cultural-artistic wealth and she also believed that music and    

dance was essential to the holistic development of the child and also helps to focus more and get achieved in life.

The institution quickly grew and within few years it enjoyed the student's involvement & attraction.

And stared growing stronger as result of it she wanted to spread the joy of learning more, She founded Santhoshika Academy of Fine Arts branches at Mogappair, Kolathur & Madhuravoyal - Chennai 

 

Together Nrithadharshan Academy & Santhoshika Academy of Fine Arts spread the joy of learning for more than 400 students who unleashed their passion. Preparing students for the grade examination conducted by Annamalai University for both dance and music. And also preparing students for the grade examination conducted by London Trinity College of Music for both Keyboard, Guitar, and Drums.

 

Most of our students are scored more in academics and in their passion for art too. We also prepare and send students to the London Trinty grade examination, Here in Santhoshika Academy of Fine Arts we give vas spread of art courses which option for students to choose from. We have very professional and well-trained experts who will teach our students with extra care and ensures the learning is meeting their passion & dream. The academy gives students wings to explore more on their passion and guides them to achieve their dreams without disturbing their originality which makes them unique.
